Julia Falgout is a CCSH (Compassion Centered Spiritual Health™) Fellow with the Winship Cancer Institute at the Clifton campus. She is a 2023 graduate of Candler School of Theology, where she minored in chaplaincy. She completed her first unit of CPE at Grady Hospital in 2021, where she developed a love for trauma-informed care during the height of the pandemic. She completed her residency at the new Winship Emory Midtown in 2024, where she offered spiritual care to patients and their families in the Head and Neck department. She offered on-call coverage across the Emory University Hospital Midtown campus, continuing to cultivate her passion for ICU care. More recently, she has served as a PRN chaplain across Emory Winship campuses as well as at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish Rite and Arthur M. Blank hospitals.

Julia was born and raised here in the Atlanta area. She received a B.S. in Psychology from Young Harris College in the beautiful mountains of North Georgia before joining the United Methodist young adult Global Mission Fellows program in 2018, where she served as an English teacher and youth leader for the United Methodist Church in Warsaw, Poland for two years. This incredible program taught her how to navigate a cross-cultural world. Today, you might be able to find Julia either walking the Atlanta trails or curled up under a blanket on the couch with her Tortoiseshell cat, Myrtle close by her side pulling for her favorite Atlanta sports teams (all of them!)
