Alyssa Peterson-DeWitt, MDiv

Reverend Alyssa (pronounced “uh-lee-suh”) R. Peterson-DeWitt (she/her) is a Compassion-Centered Spiritual Health Fellow at Emory Johns Creek Hospital where she serves as a Critical Care and Staff Support clinician. Her clinical interests include patient end of life care/advanced care planning and staff resilience and well-being. Alyssa most enjoys learning from each of her patients and staff, and gently journeying with a variety of individuals during life’s most tender moments.
She earned both her BA in Christian Ministries (Minors in Biblical Studies and Writing) and Master of Divinity from Anderson University (And., IN). She is an ordained minister in the Church of God (Anderson, IN) Wesleyan-Holiness movement. Prior to chaplaincy, Alyssa served as a non-profit executive administrative assistant and an array of church ministry roles.
She lives with her husband and their many fur-children (three dogs and two cats). Alyssa finds joy in exercise, playing video games with her husband, and tending to her house plant collection.
